<div dir="auto">UiTM recently co-hosted the Jom Masuk IPT Zone 3 Sarawak held on 19 and 20 February at the Borneo Convention Centre, Kuching (BCCK). I would like to thank the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) for trusting UiTM Sarawak Branch to co-organise events that enable applicants and parents to learn more about the academic programmes offered by public and private higher learning institutions.</div>

<div dir="auto">Officiated by YB Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn, Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, who represented Sarawak Chief Minister YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, 60 exhibitors from 21 public and 31 private higher learning institutions and 8 related agencies participated in the Jom Masuk IPT. I myself had the opportunity to visit all the booths and talk to the officials on duty who provide information and admission guidelines.</div>

<div dir="auto">During the ceremony, 5 students received tablets donated by UiTM Sarawak Alumni Association (MITSA), 5 students received internet data plan and 3 other students received offer letters for admission into UiTM Pre-University Programme.</div>

<div dir="auto">I then attended the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UiTM and PTPTN (National Higher Education Fund Corporation). This strategic collaboration aims to improve financial literacy and entrepreneurship. Encik Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid, Chief Executive of PTPTN, was with me and the session was observed by YB Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn. Prof Datuk Dr Jamil Hamali, Rector of UiTM Sarawak Branch, and Puan Mastura Mohd Khalid, Chief Operating Officer of PTPTN, were also present.<br /><br /></div>

<div dir="auto">Baru-baru ini UiTM telah menjadi hos bersama Jom Masuk IPT Zon 3 Sarawak yang berlangsung pada 19-20 Februari yang lalu di Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK). Terima kasih saya ucapkan kepada Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi (KPT) atas kepercayaan yang diberikan khususnya kepada UiTM Cawangan Sarawak dalam menganjurkan bersama acara yang memberi akses kepada para calon dan ibu bapa untuk mendapatkan informasi terperinci mengenai program – program akademik yang ditawarkan.</div>

<div dir="auto">Dirasmikan oleh YB Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn, Menteri Pendidikan, Inovasi dan Pembangunan Bakat yang mewakili Ketua Menteri Sarawak, YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Jom masuk IPT melibatkan 60 pempamer yang terdiri daripada 21 IPTA, 31 IPTS, dan 8 agensi berkaitan. Malah saya sendiri berpeluang melawat ke semua reruai dan beramah dengan para pegawai yang bertugas memberikan penerangan dan panduan kemasukan.</div>

<div dir="auto">Semasa majlis, 5 orang pelajar telah menerima sumbangan tablet oleh Persatuan Alumni UiTM Sarawak (MITSA), manakala 5 orang pelajar lagi menerima sumbangan pelan data internet sementara 3 orang pelajar lain menerima surat tawaran program Pra Pendidikan Tinggi, UiTM.</div>

<div dir="auto">Kemudian, saya bersama Ketua Eksekutif PTPTN, Encik Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid menyempurnakan majlis menandatangani MoU di antara UiTM-PTPTN (Perbadangan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional) yang disaksikan oleh YB Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn. Kerjasama strategik ini adalah bertujuan meningkatkan literasi kewangan dan keusahawanan. Turut hadir dalam sesi ini adalah Rektor UiTM Cawangan Sarawak, Prof. Datuk Dr. Jamil Hamali dan Ketua Pegawai Operasi PTPTN, Puan Mastura Mohd Khalid.</div>
