DARI LAKAR WANITA KE ICEPS

11 Oct 2021 - I started my day today with a morning chat involving 3 artists representing Lakar Wanita : Puan Elliza Hashim, Puan Zurin and Puan Hidawati. Congratulations! and I am looking forward to reading your research papers on such creative works that should contribute to our pursuit of increased quality research in the field of creative arts.
My walkabout tour continued with the Department of Human Resource Management (JPSM), of the Registrar's Office. This time, I was able to take a closer look at the workspace and get to know more closely each of the staff at the department. In the session held, I thanked the Registrar for his prompt action on the proposed initiative in matters of academic staff promotion.
Walking from the top floor to the ground, I next visited RMC, using a shortcut to reach from one section to another starting from the JPSM to the Bangunan Wawasan. The briefing was delivered by the Director and attended by the staff who worked from the office. I hope the proposed ideas can be put forward to strengthen the governance and research achievements of the university.
My visit closed with my time with the team at ICEPS on a hybrid mode. ICEPS presently has 10,600 part-time students enrolled in 181 programmes. Many projects have been accomplished, and one that stood out to me was the partnership with the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS). Sime Darby Plantation (SDP) Bhd has 5,873 positions available, with the asnaf benefiting from free courses provided by LZS. Those who are interested will be trained using modules created by ICEPS and SDP.

11 Oct 2021 - Saya mulakan walkabout hari ini dengan sesi ramah mesra bersama 3 pengkarya yang mewakili Lakar Wanita iaitu Puan Elliza Hashim, Puan Zurin dan Puan Hidawati. Tahniah! dan saya berharap penulisan kajian akademik menyusul bersama karya-karya kreatif anda selepas ini dalam usaha kita memantapkan kualiti penyelidikan dalam bidang seni kreatif.
Lawatan saya diteruskan ke JPSM, Pejabat Pendaftar. Kali ini, saya dapat meninjau dengan lebih dekat ruang kerja dan setiap staf yang ada di JPSM. Dalam sesi yang diadakan saya mengucapkan terima kasih di atas tindakan segera Pendaftar atas inisiatif yang diusulkan dalam hal ehwal kenaikan pangkat akademik staf.
Berjalan kaki dari aras atas ke bawah, seterusnya saya melawat ke RMC, menggunakan laluan pintas untuk saya sampai dari satu bahagian ke satu bahagian dari JPSM hinggalah ke Bangunan Wawasan. Taklimat disampaikan oleh Pengarah dengan kehadiran barisan staf yang hadir bekerja di pejabat. Saya berharap usul yang dibawakan dapat diketengahkan untuk memantapkan tadbir urus dan pencapaian penyelidikan universiti.
Lawatan saya diakhiri dengan perjumpaan bersama warga ICEPS secara hibrid. Dengan 181 program, enrolmen ICEPS kini mencapai 10,600 orang pelajar separuh masa. Banyak inisiatif yang telah dijayakan dan antara yang menjadi perhatian saya adalah kerjasama dengan Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS). Terdapat 5,873 jawatan kosong ditawarkan di Sime Darby Plantation (SDP) Bhd yang boleh dimanfaatkan oleh golongan asnaf menerusi kursus percuma oleh LZS. Mereka yang berminat akan diberi latihan berdasarkan modul yang dibangunkan oleh ICEPS dan SDP.
