Today’s walkabout tour began with UiTM’s ROTU (Reserve Officer Training Unit) - A Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) Reserve Team comprising the Malaysian Army, Royal Malaysian Navy, and the Royal Malaysian Air Force.
The afternoon session continued with a visit to the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies in yet again another hybrid meet-up setting of virtual platforms and at the faculty’s teaching & learning (T&L) broadcast studio. It gives me great pride to announce that the faculty will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2022.
Meanwhile at the Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation, I was delighted to learn that the faculty has been named the recipient of ‘Exercise is Medicine 2021 Gold Campus’ by the American College of Sports Medicine and the faculty’s Sports Event Academic Programmes have been accredited by the Asia Pacific Institute for Events Management – an accreditation body based in United Kingdom.
To all the staff at ROTU, the Faculty of Communication & Media Studies as well as the Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation, thank you for the wonderful reception. I am truly touched by your support and I welcome and am open to ideas or feedbacks from all of you.

Program lawatan pada hari ini bermula dengan PALAPES UiTM – Pasukan Latihan Pegawai Simpanan Angkatan Tentera Malaysia yang terdiri daripada Tentera Darat, Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia dan Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia.
Sesi tengah hari diteruskan dengan lawatan ke Fakulti Komunikasi dan Pengajian Media dalam suasana hibrid secara maya bertempat di studio penyiaran Pengajaran & Pembelajaran (PdP). Dengan bangganya saya ingin maklumkan bahawa fakulti ini akan meraikan ulangtahunnya yang ke-50 pada 2022.
Semasa di Fakullti Sains Sukan & Rekreasi, sekali lagi saya merasa amat bangga dengan berita bahawa fakulti ini telah dianugerahkan ‘Exercise is Medicine 2021 Gold Campus’ oleh American College of Sports Medicine serta mendapat akreditasi untuk Program Akademik Acara Sukan oleh ‘Asia Pacific Institute for Events Management’ sebuah pertubuhan akreditasi dari United Kingdom.
Kepada semua staf di PALAPES, Fakulti Komunikasi & Pengajian Media serta Fakulti Sains Sukan & Rekreasi. Terima kasih di atas sambutan mesra dan kehadiran untuk bersama-sama menjayakan sesi lawatan ini.
