EVEN WITH INCREASED PARTICIPATION AMONG 1,524 WORLD INSTITUTIONS, UiTM EXCELS IN THE IMPACT RANKINGS 2022, AND WE ARE #2 IN MALAYSIA.

Last year, UiTM ranked 101-200 out of 1,117 institutions worldwide in the THE Impact Rankings. This year, UiTM remains at the same position of 101-200, achieving an excellent score of 82.8 despite the increased participation of 1,524 institutions from around the world. Out of the total 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), 10 goals were successfully listed where UiTM performed well. Among Malaysian public universities, UiTM ranks second only to USM.

This achievement is supported by UiTM's second report under the name THE.GLOBAL.GOALS 2021, the Environmental Sustainability Report and other significant evidence. It summarises sustainability initiatives, programmes and impacts that reflect Keluarga UiTM's research, innovation, academic and community work, as well as some that involve our national and global partners.

In summary, UiTM has made progress on SDGs 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 17. At the same time, performance on SDGs 7, 9 and 17 has improved. The UiTM's highest performance was on SDG 17, where it improved from 48th to 42nd in the world. This performance demonstrates the excellence of the UiTM in its collective efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

SDG17 reporting rates in the areas of research, publication and education increased compared to the previous year. The Poverty Eradication Programme increased its score for SDG1 from 68.7 to 81.2 due to the University for Society initiatives, while the score for the Women's Undergraduate Education Programme remained progressive for SDG5 and the score for the Water Resources Reuse Programme increased from 41.6 to 100. The UiTM research score for SDG8 increased from 60.5 to 73.5. Our university was also successfully listed for SDG9 this time, with a research score of 98.6. Finally, for SDG10, which focuses on reducing inequality, the score for action against discrimination increased from 61.7 to 75.0.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Keluarga UiTM for their contribution to this noble agenda. I would also like to thank the Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainable Development, UiTM Green Centre, Ranking Department, GESTURZ and the team of curators who worked on documenting the publication of THE.GLOBAL.GOALS 2021.

THE Impact Rankings measures institutional initiatives and impact in achieving the Global Sustainability Goals as set by the United Nations (UN). At UiTM, sustainability activities and initiatives on and off campus are in line with the GRU2025 strategic plan, which has been aligned with national and global visions.

The aim of this initiative is to communicate the importance of planning, executing and evaluating results, as this is a never-ending responsibility. SKOR UiTM CEMERLANG DALAM THE IMPACT RANKINGS 2022

MESKIPUN PENYERTAAN MENINGKAT DI KALANGAN 1,524 INSTITUSI DUNIA DAN KITA #2 DI MALAYSIA.

Tahun lalu, UiTM berada dikedudukan 101-200 di kalangan 1,117 institusi dunia dalam THE Impact Rankings. Kekal dikedudukan yang sama 101-200, skor UiTM tahun ini terus cemerlang sebanyak 82.8, meskipun penyertaan meningkat kepada 1,524 di kalangan institusi dunia. Daripada keseluruhan 17 Matlamat Pembangunan Lestari (SDGs), 10 matlamat berjaya disenaraikan di mana UiTM merekodkan prestasi baik. Di kalangan universiti -universiti awam Malaysia, UiTM berada ditangga ke-2 selepas USM.

Pencapaian ini disokong oleh pelaporan kedua UiTM yang dikenali sebagai THE.GLOBAL.GOALS 2021, Environmental Sustainability Report dan bukti lain yang signifikan. Ia menghimpunkan inisiatif, program dan impak kelestarian, yang mengetengahkan penyelidikan, inovasi, akademik and komuniti yang dijayakan oleh Keluarga UiTM malah melibatkan rakan industri dalam dan luar negara.

Secara ringkas, skor UiTM meningkatkan dalam SDG 1,5,6,7,8,9,10 dan 17. Sementara, kedudukan di SDG 7,9, dan 17 bertambah baik. Pencapaian terbaik UiTM adalah dalam SDG17 dengan peningkatan kedudukan dari posisi 48 ke posisi 42 terbaik dunia. Pencapaian ini sekali gus membuktikan keunggulan UiTM dalam menjalin kerjasama demi matlamat ke arah pembangunan yang lestari. Dalam SDG17, markah pelaporan dalam penyelidikan, penerbitan dan pendidikan meningkat berbanding tahun lepas. SDG1 melihatkan peningkatan skor dari program pembasmian kemiskinan dari 68.7 ke 81.2 menerusi inisiatif Universiti untuk Masyarakat, dalam pada itu skor program pendidikan ijazah pertama wanita dalam SDG5 terus progresif manakala skor program guna semula sumber air menunjukkan impak positif dengan peningkatan dari 41.6 ke 100. Skor penyelidikan UiTM dalam SDG8 terus naik dari 60.5 je 73.5. Dalam pada itu, universiti kita berjaya disenaraikan dalam SDG9 pada kali ini, dengan skor penyelidikan sebanyak 98.6. Akhir sekali, skor dalam langkah-langkah kawalan vs diskriminasi untuk SDG10 yang memfokuskan kepada agenda mengurangkan ketikdaksamarataan mencapai skor dari 61.7 ke 75.0.

Matlamat inisiatif ini adalah untuk menerapkan kepentingan merancang, melaksanakan dan menilai hasil yang boleh dicapai, yang merupakan tanggungjawab tiada penghujungnya.
