Title

UiTM - McD’s MALAYSIA COLLABORATION WILL BENEFIT KELUARGA UiTM

Description

I am pleased to receive a courtesy call from McDonald's Malaysia, led by Datuk Seri Mohammed Nasir, Director (Government Relations), and his team which includes Mr Azhar Darbi, Vice President of Human Resources, Mr Mohd Nasri Mohd Nordin, General Manager of RMHC (Ronald McDonald House Charities), and Ms Zarina Osman, Director of Human Resources.
McD's Malaysia shared with us its Talent Development Plan (Pre-Employment) which includes the Management Apprentice Programme (MAP), Internship Training Programme (IP) and Graduate Employability Programme (GEP), as well as the background of McD's corporate and franchise businesses around the world and in Malaysia.
UiTM is also very pleased to know that many of McD Malaysia's employees are UiTM alumni. Examples such as Zarina Osman (Diploma in Science), and Mohd Nasri Mohd Nordin (International Preparatory Programme). They are part of McD Malaysia's 19,000 employees who work in 319 restaurant outlets and management headquarters.
In short, the presence of UiTM has shown its value-adding effect on local economic growth. For example, the existence of McDonald's restaurants in various locations in the local community creates over 50,000 jobs for Malaysians.
Therefore, the meeting at GESTURZ, UiTM will not only provide opportunities to the students and future graduates of UiTM, of which there are over 185,000 today, but the collaboration with McD on a synergistic CSR project will also benefit the over 18,000 employees of UiTM. Ultimately, it will benefit more than 13.5 million customers per month who visit Malaysians' favourite franchise restaurant.
