Good Opportunity For Keluarga UiTM To Collaborate With Staff & Students From The University Of Ottawa, Canada

On 25 May 2022, I had the privilege of welcoming Professor Dr Jacques Frémont, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ottawa Canada (uOttawa), and his delegation at the signing of the Letter of Intent (LoI) between Universiti Teknologi MARA and the University of Ottawa.

The ceremony was also attended by Professor Dr Jacques Beauvais, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at uOttawa, Professor Dr Shahriman Zainal Abidin, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Internationalisation) of UiTM, Mr Khairil Azwan Abu Mansor, Senior Deputy Director, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, and Professor Dr Yamin Yasin, Rector of UiTM Negeri Sembilan Branch, as well as the management of the College of Engineering and UiTM Global.

I believe that the meeting will provide an opportunity for both parties to further discuss cooperation in the form of staff and student mobility programmes, sabbatical programmes and industry networks that include academic, research and consultancy activities.

Congratulations to the Rector of UiTM Negeri Sembilan Branch and staff for making this collaboration a success.

Pada 25 Mei 2022, saya amat berbesar hati mengalukan kehadiran Profesor Dr Jacques Frémont, Presiden dan Naib Canselor, University of Ottawa Canada serta delegasi sempena majlis memeterai Surat Niat Kerjasama (Letter of Intent) di antara University of Ottawa dan University of Ottawa.

Majlis ini turut dihadiri oleh Profesor Dr Jacques Beauvais, Dekan, Fakulti Kejuruteraan, Profesor Dr. Shahriman Zainal Abidin, Penolong Naib Canselor (Pengantarabangsaan), Encik Khairil Azwan Abu Mansor, Ketua Penolong Pengarah Kanan, Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia, serta Profesor Dr. Yamin Yasin, Rektor UiTM Cawangan Negeri Sembilan dan barisan pengurusan dari Kolej Pengajian Kejuruteraan dan UiTM Global.

Saya percaya pertemuan yang diadakan dapat memberi peluang kepada kedua belah pihak untuk berbincang dengan lebih terperinci tentang kerjasama yang akan diusahakan bersama dari aspek program mobiliti staf dan pelajar, program sabatikal, serta jaringan industri yang melibatkan bidang akademik, penyelidikan dan aktiviti perundingan.

Tahniah kepada Rektor UiTM Cawangan Negeri Sembilan serta warga staf yang terlibat dalam menjayakan usaha ini.
