A Courtesy Call From The Times Higher Education Delegation

On November 18, 2022, I was delighted to receive a courtesy visit from the Times Higher Education (THE) delegation led by Ms Simone Dilena, President of APAC, to my office. Ms Julie Wilkens McMahon, Regional Director of APAC, accompanies her.

We have discussed issues relating to ranking methodology, research focus and sustainability initiatives undertaken by world universities. We then focused on UiTM's performance, reputation, and branding from THE's perspectives. Then, we listened to a presentation on THE Data Point, which features three types of dashboards. These dashboards effectively analyse performance and offer assistance in strategic actions so the institution can remain competitive.

Also present in this session were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry, Community & Alumni Network), Assistant Vice-Chancellor of Internationalization, Director of the Ranking Department, Director of the Research Management Centre, Head of Institutional Research – UiTM Transformation Division, and Head of Ranking.

KUNJUNGAN HORMAT OLEH DELEGASI TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION

Pada 18 November 2022, saya amat berbesar hati menerima kunjungan hormat dari delegasi Times Higher Education (THE) iaitu Puan Simone Dilena, Presiden (APAC) dan Puan Julie Wilkens McMahon, Pengarah Wilayah (APAC) ke pejabat saya.

Kami telah berbincang mengenai isu-isu dalam metodologi penarafan, fokus penyelidikan dan inisiatif kelestarian yang diusahakan oleh universiti – universiti dunia. Seterusnya kami memberi tumpuan terhadap diskusi mengenai prestasi, reputasi dan penjenamaan UiTM dari perspektif THE dan kemudian mendengar pembentangan mengenai THE Data Point yang mengandungi tiga komponen papan pemuka yang sangat berkesan dalam menganalisis prestasi dan memberi panduan dalam tindakan strategik supaya institusi kekal berdaya saing.

Turut hadir dalam sesi ini adalah, Timbalan Naib Canselor (Jaringan Industri, Komuniti & Alumni), Penolong Naib Canselor Pengantarabangsaan, Pengarah Jabatan Penarafan, Pengarah Pusat Pengurusan Penyelidikan, Ketua Penyelidikan Institusi – BTU, dan Ketua Penarafan.
