UiTM Emerges As The Best Team At UNESCO Learning Design And Education For Sustainable Development Bootcamp 2023

On behalf of the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) community, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the team from Universiti Teknologi MARA for winning the Best Team at the UNESCO Learning Design and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Bootcamp 2023. The team members consist of Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Nor Mamat (Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS)), Ts. Siti Fatahiyah Mahamood (Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS)), Prof. Dr. Nor Aziah Alias (Faculty of Education), and Fatin Nadhirah Anuar (Postgraduate Student, Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS)).

After two months of dedicated efforts in the bootcamp, the team representing UiTM and Malaysia has successfully emerged as the best team with their work on the Environmental Ethics module based on ESD, surpassing 15 other teams from 8 countries around the world. The module they have developed, along with this achievement, aligns perfectly with UNESCO's SDG17 aspiration: Partnership for the Goals.

I would also like to express my gratitude to the mentor who guided our team, Dr. Romas Malevicius from King's College London, for his commitment, guidance, and strong support in unleashing the team's potential. Alhamdulillah, their collaboration has yielded a highly remarkable success.

With this accomplishment, they have placed UiTM on the world map, particularly in the field of Education for Sustainable Development-Sustainable Development Goals (ESD-SDG) under UNESCO. It is my hope that their success will inspire other members of the UiTM community to strive for global recognition, aligning to our agenda towards Globally Renowned University (GRU2025).

Once again, I would like to convey my heartfelt congratulations to the UiTM team for their success at the UNESCO Learning Design and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Bootcamp 2023. Your sincerity, dedication, and spirit have resulted in an outstanding achievement. UiTM is proud of you!

PASUKAN UiTM MUNCUL PASUKAN TERBAIK DI UNESCO LEARNING DESIGN AND EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT BOOTCAMP 2023

Bagi pihak Warga Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), saya ingin mengucapkan setinggi-tinggi tahniah kepada pasukan Universiti Teknologi MARA yang telah muncul sebagai Kumpulan Terbaik di UNESCO Learning Design and Education For Sustainable Development (ESD) Bootcamp 2023. Ahli pasukan ini terdiri daripada Prof. Madya. Ts. Dr. Mohd Nor Mamat (Akademi Pengajian Islam Kontemporari (ACIS)), Ts. Siti Fatahiyah Mahamood ((Akademi Pengajian Islam Kontemporari (ACIS)), Prof. Dr. Nor Aziah Alias (Fakulti Pendidikan) dan Fatin Nadhirah Anuar (Pelajar Pascasiswazah Akademi Pengajian Islam Kontemporari (ACIS)).

Setelah berhempas pulas mengharungi bootcamp selama dua bulan, pasukan yang mewakili UiTM dan Malaysia ini telah berjaya muncul sebagai kumpulan terbaik melalui hasil kerja mereka iaitu modul Environmental Ethics berasaskan ESD mendahului 15 pasukan lain dari 8 negara seluruh dunia. Modul yang dihasilkan serta kejayaan ini sangat menepati aspirasi SDG17 UNESCO iaitu Partnership for The Goals.

Saya juga turut berterima kasih kepada mentor yang membimbing pasukan kita ini iaitu Dr. Romas Malevicius dari King’s College London yang memberi komitmen, tunjuk ajar dan sokongan yang padu bagi menyerlahkan potensi pasukan. Alhamdulillah, kolaborasi mereka ini telah membuahkan kejayaan yang sangat membanggakan.

Dengan kejayaan ini, mereka telah berjaya meletakkan nama UiTM di peta dunia khususnya dalam Education for Sustainable Development-Sustainable Development Goals (ESD-SDG) UNESCO. Semoga dengan kejayaan mereka menjadi pencetus semangat kepada warga UiTM yang lain untuk turut sama mencipta nama di peringkat global, sejajar dengan agenda UiTM ke arah Globally Renowned University (GRU2025).
