DIVERSITY IS IDENTITY. DIFFERENCES ARE STRENGTHS THAT SHOULD BE CELEBRATED
Description
After finishing the event at Parit Sulong, I had lunch at Remaja Restaurant (Café and Restaurant) in Bandar Baru Uda, Johor Bahru (JB), owned by a young couple, Ezwan Haffez and his wife Ungku Aishah. The asam pedas ikan (spicy tamarind fish), chicken curry and other side dishes are super tasty. The restaurant's décor is very modern and contemporary. So, do not forget to drop by Remaja Restaurant when you visit JB. Afterwards, I went to the next place, which was not far from the restaurant.
I then attended the launching ceremony of the Keluarga Malaysia Aspirations Tour by the Prime Minister, YAB Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, held at Dataran Angsana Johor Bahru, Johor, at 3pm.
The tour has been extended to the state level and for the first time, Johor is the first selected venue for this event which offers a variety of exciting and useful activities for different age groups.
There are exhibition booths from government agencies providing targeted services to the local community, including a booth from the Ministry of Higher Education. During the ceremony, I had the opportunity to speak with YB Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, the Minister of Higher Education, and Prof Datuk Dr Husaini Omar, the Director-General of Higher Education, as well as other counterparts.
The concept of Keluarga Malaysia was the brainchild of our YAB Prime Minister which he announced on 22 August 2021 during his inaugural speech as the 9th Prime Minister of Malaysia. The concept of Keluarga Malaysia embraces the aspect of the phrase and its inclusive nature. It inherently transcends religious, racial, and ethnic boundaries.
Diversity is identity. Differences are strengths that should be celebrated. In the face of Covid-19 and the challenges of the world today, together we will restore our beloved country and create a better future for our family, Keluarga Malaysia.
