UiTM HOLDINGS PRESENTS 2022-2031 STRATEGY, EXPLORE A MORE SUSTAINABLE POTENTIAL

On 30 March 2022, I paid a visit to UiTM Holdings Group of Companies. The visit began with a presentation on the current developments of the group of companies by Encik Muhammad Mubarak Ishak (Group Chief Executive Officer) with the management team namely Cik Afidatul Aisyah Ahmad (General Manager, UiTM Art & Design Sdn. Bhd), Puan Wan Nazifah Wan Abdullah (Chief Executive Officer, UiTM Private Health Care Sdn.Bhd.), Assoc. Prof. Rahidzab Talib (Group Chief Technology Officer), Dr Ainul Azreen Adam (Group Chief Corporate Development Officer), Encik Farisan Mokhtar (Group Chief Financial Officer), Dr Heazar Ismail (Chief Executive Officer, UiTM Energy & Facilities Sdn. Bhd.) and Encik Mohd Nasrul Khairi, (Chief Executive Officer, Technology Division).
Also present at the session were two members of the Board of Directors - Prof. Dr Sulaiman Shaari and Encik Mohamad Zulkhairi Abdull Rahim.
I asked UiTM Holdings to hold a meeting with the University Executive Council (MEU) every month to report on current developments and present in advance any proposed initiatives to the MEU. It is important that they remember that the existence of UiTM is also to positively impact the economy of local communities. In the meantime, I was also informed that UiTM Holdings is actively conducting working visits to branch campuses.
I have high hopes that the 2022-2031 strategy by UiTM Holdings in four phases -business restructuring, project deployment, maintenance and support, and lastly business expansion through four branches namely energy division, healthcare division, technology division and creative division, as well as facilities management, can be successfully accomplished.
UiTM Holdings must focus on income generation to ensure the sustainability of the university to provide quality education to present and future students. Practice good governance and high transparency in management so that we can transform the ecosystem in which Bumiputera-owned businesses operate, and achieve our shared aspirations of becoming a globally renowned university.
Following the presentation, I had the opportunity to take a tour of the office space, meet the team, and observe the ambiance of their workspace.
InsyaAllah, I will also pay a visit to UiTM Art & Design Sdn. Bhd. and UiTM Private Health Care Sdn. Bhd. in the near future.

UiTM HOLDINGS BENTANG STRATEGI 2022-2031, TEROKA POTENSI YANG LEBIH LESTARI
Pada 30 Mac 2022 yang lalu saya telah mengadakan lawatan ke UiTM Holdings Group of Companies. Lawatan tersebut dimulakan dengan pembentangan mengenai perkembangan semasa kumpulan syarikat oleh Encik Muhammad Mubarak Ishak (Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan) bersama barisan pengurusan yang hadir seperti Cik Afidatul Aisyah Ahmad (Pengurus Besar, UiTM Art & Design Sdn. Bhd), Puan Wan Nazifah Wan Abdullah (Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif UiTM Private Health Care Sdn. Bhd.), Prof. Madya Rahidzab Talib (Ketua Pegawai Teknologi Kumpulan), Dr. Ainul Azreen Adam (Ketua Pegawai Pembangunan Korporat Kumpulan), Encik Farisan Mokhtar (Ketua Pegawai Kewangan Kumpulan), Dr. Heazar Ismail (Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, UiTM Energy & Facilities Sdn. Bhd.) dan Encik Mohd Nasrul Khairi, (Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Bahagian Teknologi).
Turut hadir pada sesi itu ialah dua ahli Lembaga Pengarah - Prof Dr Sulaiman Shaari dan Encik Mohd Zulkhairi Abdul Rahim.
Saya meminta UiTM Holdings mengadakan mesyuarat bersama Majlis Eksekutif Universiti (MEU) pada setiap bulan bagi melaporkan perkembangan semasa di samping membentangkan terlebih dahulu cadangan inisiatif ke MEU dan perlu ingat kewujudan UiTM adalah juga untuk memberi impak terhadap ekonomi komuniti setempat. Dalam pada itu, saya juga dimaklumkan bahawa UiTM Holdings sedang giat menjalankan lawatan kerja ke kampus – kampus cawangan.
Saya berharap strategi 2022-2031 oleh UiTM Holdings dalam empat fasa; penstrukturan semula perniagaan, pelaksanaan projek, penyelenggaraan dan sokongan dan terakhir sekali pengembangan perniagaan melalui empat cabang iaitu bahagian tenaga, bahagian penjagaan kesihatan, bahagian teknologi, bahagian kreatif, dan pengurusan kemudahan dapat dijayakan sebaiknya.
UiTM Holdings mesti fokus dalam menjana pendapatan yang menyokong kelestarian universiti untuk menawarkan pendidikan berkualiti kepada para pelajar masa kini dan masa hadapan. Amalkan tadbir urus yang baik serta ketelusan yang tinggi dalam pengurusan supaya kita dapat merubah ekosistem dalam mengendalikan perniagaan milik bumiputera serta seterusnya mencapai aspirasi bersama ke arah universiti terkemuka dunia.
Selesai pembentangan saya berkesempatan melawat sekitar ruang pejabat di sini di samping bersua mesra dengan staf dan melihat suasana ruang kerja mereka.
InsyaAllah dalam masa terdekat saya juga akan mengadakan lawatan ke UiTM Art & Design Sdn. Bhd dan UiTM Private Health Care Sdn. Bhd.
