UiTM WELCOMES ITS NEW 22 PARTNERS FROM THE WORLD'S LEADING HOTELS.
Immediately after the event with McDonald's Malaysia at UiTM Shah Alam, I headed to Kuala Lumpur to attend the signing ceremony of the MoU between UiTM and Marriott International (Malaysia) at the Westin Kuala Lumpur with our new 22 strategic hotel partners.
The participating hotels include;

This important collaboration will enable UiTM to enhance the potential of future talent in the hospitality and tourism industry and strengthen the relationship between the university and the industry, particularly in the hospitality sector. Participating students will have the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge outside the lecture hall/laboratory/studio through practical training programmes, part-time employment opportunities and offers as management trainees, known as MUSE. Meanwhile, the MAPE programme aims to improve staff competencies through Training of Trainers methods, professional training and guest lectures in industry.
Congratulations to the Faculty of Hotel & Tourism Management for the success of this initiative and many thanks to Ms Emma Jones, Vice President of Marriot International for Singapore, Malaysia and Maldives. We hope that this collaboration will increase the marketability of UiTM graduates and enhance the reputation of UiTM worldwide.

Sejurus selepas acara bersama McDonald’s Malaysia di UiTM Shah Alam, saya menuju ke Kuala Lumpur untuk bersama dengan 22 rakan baharu startegik hotel kita di majlis MoU UiTM - Marriott International (Malaysia) yang diadakan di Westin Kuala Lumpur.

Kerjasama besar ini membolehkan UiTM meningkatkan potensi bakat masa depan dalam industri perhotelan dan pelancongan di samping mengukuhkan hubungan akademia-industri khususnya dari sektor tersebut. Para pelajar yang terlibat akan berpeluang untuk mendapat pengalaman dan ilmu di luar bilik kuliah/makmal/studio menerusi program latihan amali, peluang kerja sambilan, dan tawaran sebagai pelatih pengurusan yang dikenali sebagai MUSE. Sementara itu, program MAPE bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi staf melalui kaedah Training of Trainers, latihan profesional dan sesi syarahan jemputan bersama industri.
Syabas, Fakulti Pengurusan Hotel & Pelancongan dalam menjayakan inisiatif ini, dan terima kasih Cik Emma Jones, Naib Presiden Marriot International bagi Singapura, Malaysia dan Maldives. Semoga kerjasama ini akan meningkatkan kebolehpasaran graduan UiTM, dan seterusnya reputasi UiTM di peringkat global.
