YB Minister of Higher Education's Special Award: Innovative Curriculum Design and Delivery 2022 (AKRI 2022) was held on 02 September 2022 in Putrajaya. The award was presented by the Minister of Higher Education, YB Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, as a sign of recognition for best practises and transformative initiatives by academics in higher learning institutions.
In the four award categories offered, namely Innovative Curriculum, Transformative Teaching, Immersive Learning and Alternative Assessment, UiTM has been named the winner for Alternative Assessment with its initiative "An Innovative Alternative Assessment for the Engineers in Society Course Integrating SULAM and Design Thinking Approaches ( EiS-Dt)" led by Associate Professor Dr Ir. Che Maznah Mat Isa with her team members Dr Siti Hamidah Abdull Rahman, Dr Nur Izaati Ab Rani and Dr Mohd Khairul Kamarudin from the College of Engineering.
Third place in the Immersive Learning Experience (Blended) category went to Ts. Dr. Riduan Md Dangi from the Faculty of Accountancy with his initiative titled "Optimising Blended-Learning Interactions through Hybrid Point-Based Reward Framework (BL + HP-BRW): Unleashing the Knowledge Experience, Communication and Interpersonal Skills of IGEN Learners.
AKRI 2022 supports Shift 1: Holistic, Entrepreneurial and Balanced Graduates and Shift 9: Global Level Online Learning in the Malaysian Education Development Plan (Higher Education), PPPM(PT) 2015 - 2025.
Thank you to YB Minister of Higher Education and MoHE for organising this event which aims to give recognition and motivate educators to improve the quality of teaching through a new approach that provides students with a meaningful learning experience and subsequently produces "budiman" graduates.
This is in line with YB Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad's speech which states, "Educators must create game-changing innovations to develop new curricula that promote engaging learning experiences."
AKRI was introduced in 2017. This year, 18 finalists were shortlisted from 220 entries. Congratulations to the team from UiTM who succeeded in AKRI2022!
2 INISIATIF PASUKAN UiTM TERIMA ANUGERAH AKRI2022
Anugerah Khas YB Menteri Pengajian Tingg : Reka bentuk Kurikulum dan Penyampaian Inovatif Tahun 2022 (AKRI 2022) telah berlangsung pada 02 September 2022 di Putrajaya. Anugerah telah disampaikan oleh Menteri Pengajian Tinggi, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad sebagai tanda pengiktirafan terhadap amalan terbaik dan inisiatif transformatif oleh ahli -ahli akademik di institusi – institusi pengajian tinggi.
Dalam empat kategori anugerah yang ditawarkan iaitu kurikulum program pengajian inovatif, pengajaran transformatif, pembelajaran imersif, dan pentaksiran alternatif, UiTM telah dinobatkan sebagai Johan bagi pentaksiran alternatif menerusi inisiaitf bertajuk “An Innovative Alternative Assessment for the Engineers in Society Course Integrating SULAM and Design Thinking Approaches (EiS-Dt) yang diketuai oleh Profesor Madya Dr. Ir. Che Maznah Mat Isa bersama ahlinya Dr Siti Hamidah Abdull Rahman, Dr Nur Izaati Ab Rani dan Dr Mohd Khairul Kamarudin dari Kolej Pengajian Kejuruteraan.
Di tempat ketiga dalam kategori Pengalaman Pembelajaran Imersif (Teradun), Ts. Dr. Riduan Md Dangi dari Fakulti Perakaunan mengetengahkan inisiatif beliau yang bertajuk “Optimizing Blended-Learning Interactions through Hybrid Point-Based Reward Framework (BL+HP-BRW): Unleashing IGEN Learner’s Knowledge Experience, Communication and Interpersonal Skills.”
AKRI 2022 menyokong Lonjakan 1 : Graduan Holistik, Berciri Keusahawanan dan Seimbang dan Lonjakan 9: Pembelajaran Dalam Talian Tahap Global dalam Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia (Pendidikan Tinggi), PPPM(PT) 2015 - 2025.
Terima Kasih kepada YB Menteri Pengajian Tinggi dan KPT atas penganjuran yang bertujuan mengiktiraf dan memberi motivasi kepada para pendidik untuk sentiasa mempertingkatkan kualiti pengajaran menerusi pendekatan baharu yang memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang bermakna kepada mahasiswa seterusnya melahirkan graduan yang budiman.
Ini selaras dengan ucapan YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, yang menyatakan bahawa "pendidik mesti menghasilkan inovasi hebat untuk mereka bentuk kurikulum baharu yang menggalakkan pengalaman pembelajaran yang menarik."
AKRI diperkenalkan pada 2017. Tahun ini 18 peserta akhir disenarai pendek daripada 220 penyertaan. Tahniah kepada pasukan dari UiTM yang berjaya dalam AKRI2022!
