69 Teesside University Graduates Received Degrees In Health And Life Sciences Through MoA Collaboration With UiTM

I attended the Teesside University Convocation Ceremony on December 3, 2022, at the Shang-Ri La Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa Penang. Teesside University Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Professor Paul Croney, OBE, conferred the degrees.

A total of 69 graduates were awarded Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy), Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Rehabilitation (Occupational Therapy), and Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Medical Imaging degrees.

The programmes are offered through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the two institutions. The collaboration includes sharing laboratory facilities and clinical instructors from UiTM Selangor Branch, Puncak Alam Campus's Faculty of Health Sciences (FSK). Throughout the programme, Teesside University academic staff deliver face-to-face and online lectures, while UiTM academic staff serve as guest lecturers. Thus, I congratulate Dr Muhammad Afiq Zaki, the UiTM-Teesside University MoA Liaison Officer, who successfully organises and manages the programme.

In addition, this Convocation Ceremony marks the 20th anniversary of the UiTM - Teesside University partnership. Hence, I'd like to thank Teesside University, especially the Vice-Chancellor/Chief Executive, Professor Paul Croney, the Associate Dean, International, Health and Life Sciences School, Professor Kevin Thomas and Ms June Chai, the South East Asia Regional Office Director.

69 LULUSAN TEESSIDE UNIVERSITY TERIMA IJAZAH SAINS HAYAT & KESIHATAN MENERUSI KERJASAMA MoA DENGAN UiTM.

Pada 03 Disember 2022, saya telah menghadiri ke Majlis Konvokesyen Teesside University yang berlangsung di Shang- Ri La Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa Penang. Penganugerahan ijazah telah disampaikan oleh Profesor Paul Croney, OBE, Naib Canselor dan Ketua Eksekutif Teesside University.

Seramai 69 graduan menerima anugerah akademik masing-masing dalam bidang sains hayat dan kesihatan iaitu Sarjana Muda Sains (Kepujian) dalam Pemulihan Gunaan (Fisioterapi), Sarjana Muda Sains (Kepujian) Pemulihan Gunaan (Terapi Pekerjaan) dan Sarjana Muda Sains (Kepujian) Pengimejan Perubatan.

Program - program tersebut ditawarkan melalui kerjasama MoA antara kedua-dua institusi, melibatkan perkongsian kemudahan makmal dan khidmat pengajar klinikal dari Fakulti Sains Kesihatan (FSK), UiTM Cawangan Selangor, Kampus Puncak Alam. Sepanjang program, kakitangan akademik Universiti Teesside menyampaikan kuliah secara bersemuka dan dalam talian, manakala kakitangan akademik UiTM berkhidmat sebagai pensyarah jemputan. Justeru, saya mengucapkan tahniah kepada Dr Muhammad Afiq Zaki, Pegawai Seranta MoA UiTM-Teesside University, yang telah mengurus dan menyelaras aktiviti antara kedua-dua pihak dengan jayanya.

Selain itu, Majlis Konvokesyen ini juga menjadi simbolik kerjasama di antara UiTM – Teesside University selama 20 tahun. Justeru, saya mengambil kesempatan ini mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Teesside University khususnya Profesor Paul Croney, Naib Canselor/Ketua Eksekutif, Profesor Dr Kevin Thomas, Dekan Bersekutu Pengantarabangsaan, Kajian Sains Hayat & Kesihatan dan Puan June Chai, Pengarah Pejabat Serantau Asia Tenggara.
