UiTM VC Welcomes 180 FBM International Postgraduate Students at the 2023 High-Tea

On Tuesday, 10th January 2023, a High-Tea event exclusively for a total of 180 International Postgraduate students hailing from at least 5 different countries, was organized at Hotel UiTM, Shah Alam, by the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). I welcomed the international students together with Prof. Dr Firdaus Abdullah, Dean of the FBM, his management team, lecturers, industry practitioners, and representatives from respective professional bodies.

In the welcoming speech, I expressed my sincere appreciation towards the international students who chose UiTM to pursue their postgraduate degree. In return, the students should be proud because they are now officially students at the largest public university in Malaysia - a university that has attained many great achievements and accolades and strives to become a Globally Renowned University by 2025.

I disclosed the UiTM ranking achievement with the honorable guests. As for the QS World University Ranking, UiTM is ranked in the Top 298 for Social Sciences and Management in 2022. In addition, UiTM ranks 104 out of 760 universities for the 2023 QS Asia University rankings.

I ended the speech by giving my words to lead UiTM to a specially tailored and stimulating postgraduate learning experience, assisting the students to reach their fullest potential, realize their plans with cutting-edge programs, and work collaboratively with experts in respective study and research fields.
